THIS IS THE SEASON FOR STRANGE MAGIC LIVING
I feel like there is a certain type of strange magic that might only be felt during our earthly experience. It can be felt through interactions, environments, people, art pieces or situations.
I want to create a life that is swelling up with this magical abundance for me and others. I invite you to weekly gatherings that can serve as portals for us to live our most aligned and authentic lives in Rome. |
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
THE SPACE: A terrace in Rome with a beautiful view that seems to hold some sort of magic for me
-THE TEABOX CEREMONY: My inherited silver tea box that holds beautiful edible flower tea which we will use for tea ceremonies! -SPECIAL OBJECTS FROM PAKISTAN: Check the 'Magic Items' page! I want to share my South Asian heritage and prized possessions with you. -GUIDED MEDITATIONS: Written by me, for you. All directed toward acknowledging, documenting and creating Strange Magic in our lives. -ENERGY EXERCISES: Movement games, visualizations and more to keep stagnant energy away -JOURNALING ALTAR: Prompts provided for us to collectively work on continuously shifting forward in creating a magic life for ourselves in Rome -A NEW COMMUNITY: New people to be around! A space that is held weekly to always keep you in constant flow of living your own version of a strange magic life. This is a space to honor yourself. Every gathering will differ slightly in the guided meditations and exercises I will write and conduct. So every time you will have something new to come to, but that will at its core still serve as your altar. |
ABOUT ME:
That's me with my art! My name is Mana and I moved to Rome from Karachi, Pakistan two years ago. I'm currently studying in Rome but I also make flowerhead art, sometimes make music, and work as a copywriter and content manager.
Here is a song I wrote called 'Energy, dude!' that may show you the kind of writing I do for the guided meditations that will be a part of these gatherings: |
BEFORE THIS:
I used to design community experiences and art gatherings in Karachi, Pakistan
I used to run events in Karachi under the name, 'Things Mana Hosts' which were gatherings that focused on both 'amateur' and 'established' artists in the city using different mediums to experiment with their art under a broad theme that I would set each time. It bred a makeshift space that helped in fostering new kinds of networking between artists and helped in communicating about more underground, 'taboo' topics in the country. I hosted these events for a year until I moved to Rome, and put a lot of emphasis on what it means to design intimate, vulnerable spaces by playing around with the abstract idea of concentrated energy within a space.
